Application Requirements

(1) Those who have completed (or are expected to complete) at least 12 years of schooling or an equivalent course of study in a country other than Japan, or who have passed an examination or other assessment that certifies equivalent or higher academic ability.

(2) Those who have been granted permission to enter Japan through proper procedures or who are expected to be granted such permission.

(3) Individuals who have a reliable guarantor.

(4) Individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

(5) Japanese language proficiency.

Applicants for the 2-Year Preparatory Course

Applicants who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N5, or scored 250 points or higher on the J.TEST (Practical Japanese Test) Level F–G, or passed Level 5 of the Japanese NAT-TEST, or have studied Japanese for at least 150 hours in their home country, and possess Japanese proficiency equivalent to Level A1 of the Japanese Language Education Reference Framework.

Applicants for the 1 Year 6 Month Preparatory Course

Applicants who have passed JLPT N4, or scored 350 points or higher on the J.TEST (Practical Japanese Test) Level D–E, or passed Level 4 of the Japanese NAT-TEST, or have studied Japanese for at least 450 hours in their home country, and possess Japanese proficiency equivalent to Level A2 of the Japanese Language Education Reference Framework.

(6) Those who have a clear purpose for studying abroad, understand the philosophy of the school, and wish to receive education in accordance with its educational guidelines.

(7) Those who do not suffer from tuberculosis or other legally notifiable infectious diseases and who are physically and mentally healthy.
